Remember when you first discovered how you would feel better and stronger after each yoga session?
When those creaky joints started moving with greater ease? When that humdrum mood lifted and you felt more vital than you had in years?
That wasn't just your imagination. Those are just examples of how yoga - when taught and practiced in the right way - can help us awaken our Aging Superpowers.
The only problem? It can be hard to find a teacher that can support us in our yoga journey, particularly as we get on the other side of 50.
You see, after that time, your body likely doesn’t fit the kind of cookie-cutter yoga instructions that most yoga teachers deliver.

Hi, I'm Eva, founder of YogaUOnline.com. And like you, I know all too well what it's like to live in an aging body . . . .
Ever wished you had a magic potion to slow the onslaught of age-related changes that shout out at you every time you look in the mirror?
You know that yoga can help make a difference. And, as more than 3,700 studies attest to, it's a BIG one.
This is why we created our Empowered Aging Circle. . .
In this program, we offer an integrated curriculum focused on how yoga can help us build our 6 Aging Superpowers.
This innovative program you will learn specific yoga practices to target the key age-related degenerative changes that otherwise slowly undermine our mobility and independence as we get older.
These changes are decades in the making. But there are many ways yoga can help slow or even reverse these changes. And the earlier you start, the better!
Once you get the tools to address these preclinical precursors to age-related decline, you can take proactive steps to maintain your vitality and independence.
This is how you can build a body that lasts. . .

Did You Know that Only about 25% of Aging is Determined by Genetics?
Studies indicate that only around 25% of the variation in our lifespan is linked to genetics. In other words, our habits and lifestyle choices have a huge impact.

Did you know that recent research shows that lifestyle can slow the rate of cognitive decline by 46.81%?
A favorable lifestyle also helps to offset cognitive decline in people with higher genetic risk. Even changes later in life can make a difference.

But Unfortunately, You May Never Learn about This. . .
Because on average it takes 17.5 years for new research knowledge to get integrated into medical practice.

Special Focus for This Semester!
Return to YOU: Reconnecting with Your Wisdom Body
Ever wished you could just stop the world for a moment to get respite?
You’re not alone. In a world that is moving faster and faster and even reality itself feels increasingly fragmented, the sense of overwhelm and disconnect can become a constant companion.
Our theme this fall and winter semester is A Return to YOU: Reconnecting with Your Wisdom Body. Learn how to move beyond the surface to rediscover the steady pulse of embodied wisdom—your ultimate, inner source of clarity.

Building Your Wisdom Body
When taught and practiced in the right way, yoga gives you something that no other movement practice does: It enables you to connect with your Wisdom Body.
Think of your Wisdom Body as your internal GPS system. It is your inner sixth sense that can help you connect with your body's inherent wisdom to better navigate the journey of aging.
Through specific yoga practices and mindfulness techniques, we help you develop and refine this internal guidance system. You'll learn to:
-
Tune into subtle body signals before they become problems.
-
Develop greater body awareness through specialized movement practices.
-
Access your intuitive knowing about what your body needs.
-
Build confidence in your ability to make wise choices about movement and self-care.
The Transformation:
From External Seeking to Inner Knowing
Your Invitation Back to YOU
Our program line-up this semester aims to help you cultivate a living, felt sense of self, guided by your inner Wisdom Body.
This isn't just another yoga program. It's your return to a way of being that your body remembers even when your mind has forgotten.
It's permission to trust the sophisticated intelligence that's been waiting patiently for you to come home.
The Foundation: True Embodiment
Forget everything you think you know about being "embodied." We're talking about something far more profound than simply paying attention to your body.
Real embodiment means:
Shifting from mental reactivity to somatic intelligence.
Developing interoception—your awareness of internal sensations, rhythms, and dynamics of subtle movement.
Creating a dynamic dialogue between consciousness and physical form.
Your Body Speaks—Are You Listening?
Your wisdom body communicates through multiple channels that most people ignore:
✓ Subtle sensations that arise in response to different situations.
✓ Gut feelings that provide guidance beyond rational analysis.
✓ Energetic shifts when you encounter truth versus deception.
✓ Expansion or contraction that accompanies various choices and experiences.
This program teaches you to develop the ability to discern what is authentic and beneficial from what is illusory or harmful.
You'll learn "bottom-up processing," allowing your body's wisdom to inform your mental and emotional states, rather than always directing from the mind downward.
The result? You'll be able to cut through all the noise and reconnect with your internal compass you can trust completely. No more getting overwhelmed. Not more doubting yourself. No more looking outside yourself for answers that only you can provide.

Reconnecting with Your Wisdom Body:
A Return to Real
This foundational series transforms the ancient Panchamayakosha model from abstract philosophy into a practical roadmap for accessing your multidimensional wisdom. Through four targeted practices, you'll develop intimate familiarity with each layer of your being—from physical sensations to your deepest inner guidance.
Practice One awakens deep listening to your physical body, moving beyond basic awareness to attune to subtle sensations and your body's constant feedback about internal states. You'll learn to approach bodily sensations with curiosity rather than resistance.
Practice Two activates your vital energy body, teaching you to sense life force currents and self-regulate your nervous system for greater equilibrium and presence.
Practice Three develops a new relationship with your mental and emotional patterns, cultivating witness consciousness that observes without entanglement. Learn practices to distinguish between reactive habits and authentic insight.
In Practice Four, explore embodied awareness practices that can help you tune in to the subtle voice of inner guidance that emerges in stillness.
This isn't about controlling your experience, but creating space for your deeper, innate wisdom to guide you home to yourself.

Reconnecting with Stillness:
Yin Yoga for Nervous System Integration
In our hyperconnected world, your nervous system rarely gets the deep rest it needs to access your wisdom body's guidance. This series with acclaimed teacher Melina Meza creates the essential conditions for your system to reset and reintegrate, moving you from chronic activation into the stillness where your inner wisdom speaks clearest.
Unlike dynamic yoga that works with muscles, yin yoga targets your connective tissue—the fascia that stores emotional and energetic patterns as "body memories." When stress and overwhelm accumulate, your fascia contracts around these experiences, blocking access to your deeper intelligence.
Through extended holds of 3-7 minutes, you'll gently release these deeper tissue layers where transformation occurs slowly and without force. This approach specifically supports parasympathetic nervous system activation—the state essential for healing and the foundation from which your wisdom body emerges.
As you learn to create safety and groundedness in stillness, you're not just restoring your nervous system—you're clearing the pathways that allow your authentic guidance to surface. This series teaches you that sometimes the most powerful way to reconnect with your wisdom is through the profound intelligence of deep rest.

Reconnecting with Ease:
Integrative Stretching Techniques
for Mobility & Nervous System Reset
Cultivate Enhanced Mobility—one of the 6 Aging Superpowers—supporting independence, confidence, and joy in movement while discovering how therapeutic stretching can offer a gateway to greater inner calm and body wisdom.

This transformative series marries powerful mobility and flexibility techniques with autonomic nervous system applications for profound mind-body integration.
Experience Revolutionary Benefits:
- Mobility Enhancement: Learn Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and reciprocal inhibition techniques that work with your nervous system's natural reflexes for deeper, lasting flexibility gains.
- Nervous System Reset: Shift from stress to rest-and-restore mode, improving sleep, reducing anxiety, and enhancing emotional resilience.
- Body Wisdom Access: Develop heightened interoception to sense and trust your body's intelligence.

Reconnecting with Soma:
The Integration of Somatic Principles into Your Yogic Practice
In a world that constantly pulls you away from your body's wisdom, this series with acclaimed somatic teacher James Knight offers a revolutionary path back to your inner guidance system.
Unlike traditional yoga that emphasizes external form, somatic yoga prioritizes your internal experience, helping you develop an intimate, trustworthy relationship with your body's intelligence.
This approach works through your nervous system to create lasting changes, emphasizing interoception—your ability to sense internal signals like muscle tension, emotional states, and energy levels. You'll learn to interpret your body's constant messages about your current needs and circumstances, moving beyond simple awareness toward sophisticated internal sensing.
The series uses "bottom-up processing," allowing your physical sensations to inform your understanding rather than trying to control your body with your mind.
Through slow, exploratory movements that prioritize internal sensing over external achievement, you'll discover how to trust your body's natural wisdom about timing, intensity, and direction.
This isn't just movement—it's reconnecting with your wisdom body's fundamental communication system, the very foundation from which authentic guidance emerges when you learn to listen deeply.

Reconnecting with Strength:
Your Path to Building Greater Inner Resilience
Life inevitably brings us challenges, particularly as we enter the last 2-3 decades of our lives, when we begin to face the inevitable changes that come the aging of our own body and those around us.
The ability to flexibly bounce back from adversity and traumatic life events is also referred to as resilience. Resilience is not a trait you either have or do not have; it is a set of strategies that can be learned and practiced.
What if the resilience you're seeking isn't something you need to build from scratch, but something already alive within your body, waiting to be awakened?
This experiential practice series invites you to discover strength not as a concept to study, but as a lived experience you can feel, cultivate, and trust.
Designed specifically for yoga teachers and experienced practitioners over 50, Dr. Arielle Schwartz will guide you beyond the familiar territory of poses and sequences into the deeper landscape of your nervous system—where true resilience lives.
Meet Dr. Arielle Schwartz
Dr. Arielle Schwartz brings over 20 years of experience bridging the worlds of clinical psychology and therapeutic yoga. As a certified complex trauma professional, as well as the author of six books on trauma recovery, she has helped thousands discover how the body holds both our wounds and our capacity for healing.
Dr. Schwartz's approach is grounded in science yet deeply practical—she understands that lasting change happens not in your head, but in your cells, your breath, and your lived experience of moving through the world.

Reconnecting with Breath:
Ancient Yogic Wisdom for Profound
Mind-Body Integration
Discover the profound connection between breath and nervous system through time-tested yogic practices that create immediate shifts in your inner state.
In this 4-part series, renowned author and yoga teacher Doug Keller guides you through simple yet transformative breathing techniques that work directly with your vagus nerve—your body's pathway to deep relaxation and restoration.
Experience how deep diaphragmatic breathing can send calming signals throughout your nervous system, moving you from sympathetic stress responses into the rest and renew response. Learn how to use the three-part yogic breath to engage your entire respiratory system while maintaining effortless ease. Discover how to use Ujjayi pranayama as a tool for increasing the strength of your breathing muscles and as a vehicle for generating sustained inner calm.
Through Doug's clear guidance, you'll understand how extended exhalations naturally slow your heart rate and activate your body's relaxation response.
These practices offer immediate relief from stress while building long-term resilience in your nervous system. Whether you're seeking deeper meditation, better sleep, or simply a way to navigate life's challenges with greater ease, these ancient techniques provide practical tools for modern transformation.

Special Mentoring Sessions!
The Secret Life of Muscles: How to Build Your Body's Anti-Aging Powerhouse

Join the Inner Circle: Personalized Monthly Mentoring Sessions with Eva Norlyk Smith and Lynn Crimando
Did you know that your muscles do a lot more than simply moving you around throughout the day?
Your muscles are your body's largest endocrine organ, quietly executing numerous essential physical functions throughout the day.
They help keep your bones strong, regulate blood sugar, produce vital hormones, and they constantly send chemical signals throughout your entire body.
Muscles are like a natural pharmacy and anti-aging command center. They release myokines—powerful molecules that reduce inflammation, boost brain function, support immune health, and promote cellular repair.
And, just as important, when your muscles are strong and active, they're constantly working behind the scenes to keep your mind sharp and brain healthy.
So, you can see why the cascading effects of muscle loss go far beyond difficulty climbing stairs or getting up from the floor.
Loss of muscle mass triggers a domino effect: Slowed metabolism, increased disease risk, cognitive decline, bone fragility, and compromised immune function. This creates a cycle of decreasing mobility, increased fall risk, and accelerated aging.
But here's the empowering truth: you can reverse this process using intelligent movement strategies rooted in yoga wisdom and cutting-edge science.
In this series of monthly mentoring sessions, you'll discover how to transform your muscles into anti-aging allies through multidimensional movement patterns that build "smart" strength.
In this series, you'll
- learn the muscle-brain connection that keeps your mind sharp,
- master metabolic switches that optimize how your body burns energy,
- explore powerful yoga sequences designed to target different aspects of muscle health.
Whether you're a yoga teacher serving aging students or a practitioner wanting to age with vitality, you'll revolutionize your understanding of how muscles can become your most powerful tool for aging brilliantly.
